Based in Santa Barbara and San Francisco, Robyn Wise is a freelance writer/editor, content developer, and communications strategist. She specializes in art+design, particularly contemporary art, interiors, architecture, maker culture, nonprofits, and museums.

Most recently, Wise served as Dwell magazine’s inaugural Creative Services Editor, overseeing the development of branded content for the national publication’s top advertisers. She has also served as the San Francisco editor at California Home + Design. Before this (from 2011 to 2015), she oversaw media relations at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) where she led multichannel communications and PR campaigns for nationally touring exhibitions, education initiatives and major fundraising efforts during the museum’s $305 million Snohetta-designed building expansion.

Her copywriting for SFMOMA’s award-winning in-house design studio has been recognized by PRINT magazine.

She has penned branded articles for Dwell magazine and contributed bylined journalism to Luxe Interiors + Design magazine, California Home + Design, SFC&G (C&G Media) and the Santa Barbara Independent, covering some of the region’s most respected artists and designers.
